Oldsmobile Bravada
Oldsmobile Bravada was a medium sized luxury pros Utility vehicle and the next generation car of Oldsmobile Marque of General Motors. There are two version of this SUV model and the first generation car was named as GMT330 and 2002-2004 Model was named as GMT360. There was one third generation model of this car, and that model was only lunched in Canada.
Some changes were imposed in Bravada year wise after its launching and ear wise production. In 1992, the engine was of 4.3L and Engine Horsepower was200. In the year 1992 there was slight modification in the panel also and in the next year there was some overhead console with compass, temperature, and reading lights, and exterior logo as well a aluminums wheel base was a new addition in the 1993 version of Bravada. The version which was launched in 1993 continued through 1994 without any further change.
The fuel economy of this model was good. First generation Bravada(160HPengine) use to provide 17 mpg (U.S.) (14 l/100 km)/22 mpg (U.S.) (11 l/100 km). The second generation version of Bravada with the 200 HP engine averaged 16 mpg (U.S.) (15 l/100 km)/21 mpg (U.S.) (11 l/100 km).
In the year 2001 The 2002 Model Bravada arrived at the showrooms. Third generation Bravada had two distinct reasons to be noted in the history of Oldsmobile vehicle. With this version of car, GMT360 was introduced and the use of new Atlas 16 engine was done for the first time. For the first time rear wheel drive was available hereafter the lunching of Custom Cruiser in the year 1992.
Production of Bravada was terminated in the year 2004. The last 500 Bravada were special editions and in each of them vintage Oldsmobile logs imprinted as well as seats were of embroidered natured. The colors were of dark metallic cheery paint and wheels were of chrome alloy wheels. The production number ranging from 1-500 was printedat the back portion of the car.
