American Oldsmobile

Oldsmobile Intrigue is the production of General Motor’s Oldsmobile division; it was a medium sized sedan and was manufactured on the time span of 1998-2002. The design of intrigue was first at view in 1995 with the Antares Concept car of Oldsmobile. The car version Intrigue was the first version in the phase-out method of Oldsmobile. When the division of Oldsmobile was at termination, a new model replaced the car Intrigue and it was named as Buick LaCrosse and to keep the style statement in the same tune the car Buick Lacrosse as also designed by the same designer who did the designing of Intrigue and the replacement version was launched on 2005.

The design and technology of Intrigue was mostly inspired by the tough competition launched by Japanese automobiles and replaced the tradition of Cutlass Supreme. From May, 1997 onward the production of this car started and it was similar to the range of medium-sized sedans from other GM divisions including Buick Regal, Chevrolet Impala, Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Pontiac Grand Prix, Buick Century. The Intrigue was launched in three versions base GX, mid-level GL, and-end GLS.

On GX models, traction control system (TCS)  became standard was not an option but was included in the common feature. Premium Leather seat cover and upholstery and precision sports option package were also available in the version launched in this year.

GLS models were features with two-tone interior, driver lumbar, and standard home link. CD player was a part of common features. The available colors were Tropic Teal and Indigo Blue and these two colors were metallic in color tone. All versions had Latch for better safety in rear positions. In GL sun and sound option was available sun meant sunroof and sound system was to be taken from Bose.

In June 2002 the production of Intrigue was terminated. The last 500 cars came in Cherry Metallic paint, Oldsmobile emblem and chrome wheel. Owner of these cars received a memento from the manufacturers’ end to commemorate the event.
